South Wales (YARMOUTH Good To Firm Handicap (Class 5) (3yo+,0-70) (1m2f21y) 1m2f 9ran)
Aquired it's hcap mark at 7f-8f. Has traded sub 2.0 on it's last two run (both Hcaps over 10f). Ridden to get a midfield possy. Asked to lengthen 4f out and going as well as any - 2l off lead. Looked for a run 3f out, but had to switch to the outside 2.5f out. Made a good looking run between the 2f and 2f poles wide of the leaders looking like he might take it up, but no further progress. 9f might be the answer, but at 10f he'll be a good DOM trade.

Papa's Princess (AYR Good To Soft Handicap (Class 6) (4yo+,0-65) (1m1f20y) 1m1f 14ran)
Had been showing some recent promise but can throw an odd bad one. Was always just behind the leaders going well. Had to wait for a gap to open and quickened through to get the lead and held on well. Low rating so don't get carried away but could be there about in class5/6 Hcaps.

Annibale Caro (PONTEFRACT Good Apprentice Handicap (Class 5) (4yo+,0-70) (1m2f6y) 1m2f 12ran)
Soon prom and running quite free in 4th. When pace slackened at halfway allowed himself to be crowded and settled better. Pushed along 2f out to join leading pair - went slowly through gap and stayed on to pull a length or so clear but caught by fast finishing winner who was taken wide.

Cloudy Start (NEWMARKET (JULY) Soft Maiden Stakes (Class 2) (2yo) 7f 11ran)
Keen early and pulled for first half of race on debt. Even though he was free he still had enough energy to look dangerous about 1f out.

Rockfield Lodge (KEMPTON (A.W) Standard Handicap (Class 4) (3yo,0-85) 6f 8ran)
backed 20/1 > 12/1 - usually trade low. Taken back to joint last but keen. Pulled his way to the outside on the home turn but the jockey took a pull to stop him joining the leaders. Travelled sweetly o outside of leading trio 2f out. Quickened along with leaders to be joint leader 1f out but un able to quicken again. A stronger pace would have helped.

Count Ceprano (KEMPTON (A.W) Standard Handicap (Class 4) (3yo+,0-80) 1m 14ran)
Travelled well until home straight. Good burst of speed when gap opened 2f out (went for rails) to go from 8th to 2nd. No further progress - best at 7f
